A deadly virus affecting both organics and robotics swept the northern sectors of the Galaxy, sparking a war between the afflicted and the remaining factions. After nearly a year of defensive battles and co-ordinated operations, the war finally ended at the Battle of Ruin. The end of the war saw increased relations between the GSU, Imperium and Santori as they all agreed on a two year ceasefire to mend the damages caused by the crisis.

After these two years the factions signed the Santori Accords, an agreement proclaiming their united efforts to uphold Celestial law, including the protection of innocent life in case of another galactic threat. Following this meeting the Highrock Clans decided to join the Santori Protectorate, expanding their territory by almost double.

Current Events
The Reich, a returning faction of magic-haters, resurface and initiate a purge of the planet Ordriey, destroying it entirely in the process. This event has made all of the Major Factions uneasy, even though each of them has bigger concerns of their own. Not only are there issues for these powers to deal with, but more factions are rising from the ashes of the Helix War, populating the galaxy once again.

Meanwhile, the Celestial Architect Sam'anar has discovered a way to reverse large parts of the Convergence, sending back many of the planets it had brought into the galaxy. Whilst this move has saved many from unwanted threats, it has also shifted the layout of the galaxy drastically. Because of this, new star-charts have been drawn out with Hyperlanes, allowing them to show the quickest and safest routes between planets.

The quiet pitter-patter of rain on the shutters filled the silence that enveloped the Versaille household. The large house, positioned 6 340 above sea level, was dark as the front door slammed shut. The boys eyes shot open as he ripped his blankets off, the light from his alarm clock briefly illuminating him as his hand slammed down on the desk. His breath was labored as he looked down at his hands which were shaking from the nightmare that had awoken him. His pale skin reflected some of the light coming through the windows, the dual-moons of Eden-II shining down on him. His scarlet-irises shown through the darkness as he stood, the monitoring system quickly notifying him that he still had four-hours and thirty-seven-minutes left to sleep. The monotone voice also notified him that the front door had opened a little over thirty-seconds prior to him waking. With a huff, he marched out of his room, the cold tile biting into his bare feet as he made his way toward his father's room. Before he pushed the door open, he knew that his father would not be there and he would only be greeted by the rumpled sheets from which his father had just left. The door was soundless as he pushed inward, the sight of an empty bed confirming his suspicions. He took two quiet steps forward, listening to the sound of the rain pounding and trying to see if anyone was in the house with him. Suddenly, a flash of lightning followed instantly with the roaring of the thunder, threw the boy into a frenzy as he dashed out of the room, his feet slapping as he raced down the stairs. He calmed as he realized how dumb he felt. A Versaille, creators of the orbital rings, naval shipyards, and Hellfire-Missile Destroyer running from some weather? Regardless, the fear still crept into his bones as he made his way to the front window, his voice shaking as he spoke.

"Ellie, is my father still here?"

A female voice rang out as he finished the question.

"He left a few minutes ago. He had an important meeting with the Department of Safety."

"Of course he did."

The boy let a sigh out, realizing he was left alone for another night.

"He always does."

Once the colonization of Cre'sarak had reached a point where intergalactic trade had begun to take off, there had been some talk of making it easier to travel between the systems under Lux control. There were many ideas that had entered and been denied by the High Council, but one that continued to bounce around was the idea of a FTL gate.

They would take a strong hyperdrive engine, mount it inside a ring that would be seven miles in diameter, and then utilize magnetic fields to project outward. This was also the base for the Orion Communication Outlet (O.C.O) which would allow all Lux Republic Captains to contact home.

Regardless, these gates would be expensive to produce but would be beneficial in the long run as more trade spread between the stars. As well as having some commercial benefits, these gates would be easy to defend, and would allow for the military to shut them off if there were ever a threat. With so many reason for these gates to be built, the idea was proposed to the King.

The King was a fair man who was once in the military while his father was the king and had many degrees detailing why he was so fit to be king. He had multiple business degrees, had served time in the military and knew what it was like to be a leader, and had intense training as an officer. With all of this he viewed the plans before approving the construction, allowing the military to begin construction.

The multi-biomed planet gave the Lux access to many different options with which they could chose to pick. This also created some tension among the High Council and King as many believed that Cre'Sarak should operate as a major military base, while others believed they should conquer another planet before dedicating such a plentiful world for militarization. With time restrictions having placed a time limit on how long the council could debate, it was chosen by a ration of 3:1 that Cre'sarak would become a farming world that would produce a large portion of trade and commonwealth. There would need to be some major changes, starting with the construction of large 'solar shutters' that would aid in changing the climate. Once these solar shutters came into play, the environment would become somewhat static and farming could commence.

Along with solar shutters, vertical farming would be utilized fully, having thousands of layers of different crops plastered all over the world. There would be isolated sections of continents that would contain cities and nature preserves, but, the majority of land mass would contain farms that stretched for miles up, and out. This would give the Lux an extreme boost in food production and would allow for serious galactic trade. The construction of such large and powerful objects would commence once the King toured his new territory...

The white glow of Te’lanu gently lit up the sky of Cre’Sarak. The terrestrial planet, stationed a few thousand kilometers from the sun, was around three times the size of Earth, had temperamental weather similar to ours, and had a rotational period of thirty-four hours. Due to Te’Lanu being a white dwarf star, which tended to be quite small and luminous, the yearly periods fluctuated ranging from four-hundred-and-thirteen Earth days, all the way to six-hundred-and-twenty-seven. While this created some very cold winters and some very hot summers, it made the planet even more beautiful than it already was. With the gravitational pull of the star messing with the tides and tectonic plates, it had created mountains so vast that there had never been a creature to ascend to their points. It had also created oceans that were vastly unexplored due to the massive crevices that were thought to have creatures of massive proportions. Along with the ridiculous depths, the waves were colossal extending (at some points) to over one-thousand feet. While the planet seems quite hostile to newcomers, it has become home to thousands of native species that have mastered the dangerous environments and thrived.

While the planet was quite hostile, there were much more dangerous things looming above the planet. While many might mistake them for small moons or asteroids stuck in the orbit of Cre’Sarak, these intimidating constructions were multiple kilometers long and floated silently above the planet, waiting. While it wasn’t clear if these motherships could launch fighters or just housed a species, it was quite clear that they did have a detachment of battleships. Their numbers weren’t as vast as expected with; three Seraphim Hive Ships, six cargo freighters, and four large battlecruisers per hive ship.

The Lux Republic had gone to council many times in order to decide if they were going to invade another species’ planet, but it had come to mutual agreement that if they were going to establish a dominating presence in the Milky Way galaxy, they would have to start colonizing and conquering planets. Cre’Sarak had been chosen carefully for its access to common hyper-space lanes and another terrestrial planet which could be terraformed to hold massive farming regions while also acting as a trading hub. With dozens of drones being shot into the system for some preliminary scanning and to ensure they had counted the ships correctly, they brought forward two Eta War Fleets along with one Zeta Carrier Fleet for backup. This was the largest force ever conceived for the Lux Republic and with battle strategies in mind, they warped into the system, ready to shake off the dust from the last war.

~~The Official War Guide to Naval Warfare~~

~Alpha Strike Fleet Composition~
-1x Reinhardt-Class Carriers j
-4x Sirius-Class Light Cruisers
-1x Hailstrom-Class Missile Cruiser
-10x Warden-Class Gunships
Note: This fleet was proposed by the infamous 'Robert Killigan' after realizing that regular carrier fleets were not optimal for dealing with smaller pirate threats. While they were good at keeping internal strife to a minimum, they were losing too many battles against the much more agile ships of the Blue Moon Faction. Thus, he proposed a fleet that had components of the heavier fleets and the lighter fleets which easily neutralized the faster fleets.

~Beta Strike Fleet Composition~
-1x Reinhardt-Class Carriers
-2x Sirius-Class Light Cruisers
-3x Hailstorm-Class Missile Cruisers
-10x Warden-Class Gunships
Note: This fleet composition was created by the famed 'Alan Rygier' after his famous show-off against a much larger pirate fleet. He condensed his heavier warships to the inside while utilizing his smaller, faster ships to protect from starfighter coverage. After managing to destroy the majority of the enemies fighters, he took action springing his Sirius Class warships to the outside as his Hailstorm-Class Ships ripped into them. He ended the battle with 76% of his fleet still intact while completely destroying the enemy fleet.

~Gamma Patrol Fleet~
-2x Sirius-Class Light Cruisers
-1x Hailstorm-Class MIssile Cruiser
-3x Warden-Class Gunship
Note: This fleet was created for patrolling friendly-space and interplanetary trade lanes. This fleet isn't used for its massive military capability, but, rather a policing fleet for civilian vessels.

~Epsilon Patrol Fleet~
-2x Sirius-Class Light Cruisers
-2x Warden-Class Gunships

The Epsilon Patrol Fleet is solely used for interplanetary traffic control and rarely gets used for anything else.

~Zeta Carrier Fleet~
-2x Reinhardt-Class Carriers
-6x Sirius-Class Light Cruisers
-3x Hailstorm-Class MIssile Cruisers
-14x Warden-Class Gunships
Note: The Zeta Fleet was created for deep space missions that would require self-sustainment. The two carriers function as the 'home' while the numerous smaller warships protect from dangers. This fleet has only been 'tested' and has not seen a real exploration campaign. Multiple are planned for the near future.

~Eta War Fleet~
-2x Reinhardt-Class Carriers
-12x Sirius-Class LIght Cruisers
-6x Hailstorm-Class Missile Cruisers
-20x Warden-Class Gunships
Note: The war fleet has only come to reality in the recent past with the Imperium introducing FTL travel. With such a discovery comes the thought of danger and war, thus, the Eta War Fleet was created just in case someone decided to engage the Lux Republic. While not as powerful as previously thought, much of the fleet is up for refinement and additions with the upcoming additions of battlecruisers and battleships.
