Previously
A deadly virus affecting both organics and robotics swept the northern sectors of the Galaxy, sparking a war between the afflicted and the remaining factions. After nearly a year of defensive battles and co-ordinated operations, the war finally ended at the Battle of Ruin. The end of the war saw increased relations between the GSU, Imperium and Santori as they all agreed on a two year ceasefire to mend the damages caused by the crisis.

After these two years the factions signed the Santori Accords, an agreement proclaiming their united efforts to uphold Celestial law, including the protection of innocent life in case of another galactic threat. Following this meeting the Highrock Clans decided to join the Santori Protectorate, expanding their territory by almost double.

Galactic Date
Whilst each planet has their own personal Dates and Times, most of them adhere to the Galactic Standard Calendar when communicating with eachother.

Current Events
The Reich, a returning faction of magic-haters, resurface and initiate a purge of the planet Ordriey, destroying it entirely in the process. This event has made all of the Major Factions uneasy, even though each of them has bigger concerns of their own. Not only are there issues for these powers to deal with, but more factions are rising from the ashes of the Helix War, populating the galaxy once again.

Meanwhile, the Celestial Architect Sam'anar has discovered a way to reverse large parts of the Convergence, sending back many of the planets it had brought into the galaxy. Whilst this move has saved many from unwanted threats, it has also shifted the layout of the galaxy drastically. Because of this, new star-charts have been drawn out with Hyperlanes, allowing them to show the quickest and safest routes between planets.

Perhaps Crodvan manufacturing should be instructed to make their vehicles as energy efficient as the Crodvan themselves. Epoch was now stranded in territory he had not seen before, outside of Crodvan Unity territory no doubt. "This planet is unfamiliar," he said to himself in a deep monotone. As far as he knew, no Crodvan ship had ever landed on another planet besides Ratvar, and now he needed fuel that he had no guarantee was on this planet, and even if there was, he would have to interact with another species that would be curious about his origins and technology no doubt. And that risked greatly the exposure of the Unity's existence. The worst case scenario was certainly one he must avoid... an untrustworthy being that would harm him for gain of Crodvan technology. And of all the rotten luck, that seemed increasingly likely when he studied his surroundings and explored the planet... a planet called Fallon, completely overrun by criminal operations and black markets. Everyone here was an outlaw, fleeing authorities elsewhere in the galaxy, and it was doubtful that there was any respect or honor among them. "I must conceal my ship and simply get a new one if I am to get off this planet..." He realized. This planet wasn't even close to primitive, but it wasn't capable of fixing his ship either. But despite the lack of law in this place, stealing a ship wasn't going to go unpunished. If anything, it guaranteed vigilante justice, which is usually worse then civil justice. He was lacking in currency that this planet would accept, so buying a ship was out of the question at this point. He needed either a way to receive money, or more detailed information about this planet so that maybe he could calculate a way escape the reach of whoever he stole from. Both meant talking to strangers, something the least intelligent creature in the galaxy would avoid on this kind of planet. Things did not look good. First thing was first, though... he would have to return to his ship and conceal it somewhere right about now. "This situation involves risky solutions. And several people have seen me by now... simply existing on this planet is risky. The last thing I need is some low life salvaging my ship's components for some kind of monetary reward." He started to head back to his ship, trying to ignore the sketchy strangers lurking in the streets.

The redheaded half demon came off the ramp of her ship with a medium package in her hand. As soon as she was off the ramp it closed. “lock” she said and the ship, expect for the Phoenix painted on the top, seemed to vanish. Her solar powered electronic based force field also became active. In the haven for outcasts things like that were necessary and she knew it. Sapphire then turned and started to look for a bar by the name of shamrock. It did not take long as she had done many transports to and from the aria. The particular man she was looking for was good at paying and had both earned her respect and business over the years. Most of the residents knew not to mess with her as the man she worked for would not spare him if they caused her any problems.

At the entrance was the man she was looking for. “TomTom” she would call at him with a very excited tone. And he would respond with an equally surprised and happy “Staf, Long time no see. What brings ya all the way out here.” the man would get up and give sapphire a hand shake before stepping back. “Zakeha had told me to give you this. Told me you’d like it.” she said as she handed over the package. Now she had already seen its contents as she was told a long while ago that if she had a package for him than make sure it would not explode. “come, we’ll talk inside. Are ya throaty?” he would ask causing her to laugh as they went inside where he would open the package. He knew she would not drink which always made her laugh when he offered. It took a few minutes to pull out the well packed surprise. He smiled from ear to ear as he pulled out the Spitfire Plasma Pistol. They would talk for a bit before she would leave to the street and started walking back to port.

"Who's that freak?"
"You seen that thing roaming about?"
"Reckon I could take that thing on?"
Word spread fast through the Syndicate's territories, especially when concerning a strange visitor. Not out of malice or hate, but instead of of curiosity. Outsiders had proved useful tools, either bounty hunters or assassins, in the past. Most of the scum eyeing Epoch up and down were considering his usefulness in an arena or for a job, unaware of the technology he had brought to the planet.

That was until a small group of men, part of the Fallon Circle gang, decided to trail the strange being back to where it was going. They all were quite easy to distinguish in a crowd; wearing very little over their torsos except red straps of cloth. Quite the rugged gang indeed. Nevertheless they stuck to the shadows and corners, avoiding line of sight to try and trail Epoch back to what they hoped would be something worth stealing.

All of them were sure to come armed in case the alien protested...

As Epoch walked loudly toward his ship, he was sure he attracted a lot of attention. Because he was slow and bulky, he knew stealth was not his strength at all, but as a result he had enhanced senses for those who did have the luxury of sneaking around. He was quite aware that a lack of stealth or speed was the biggest weakness of the Crodvan. As the shady characters drew closer, Epoch found himself at his ship, so he now had little choice but to make them leave, or perhaps find some way to get hired so he could have the money to get a ship. "Can I help you?" he said to his quarries, wondering their intentions. He put himself on a yellow alert, in case they had hostile intentions.

Sapphire had noticed the little pack as they passed her and continued after some man. Once he stopped she smiled. This was going to be fun to watch she thought and decided to go over to the wall and leaned against it. She was ready to help the man if things got two ruff but it looked like he could handle themself.

The gang stopped dead in their tracks as they were spotted by the being, exchanging glances with each other before focusing forward. After a moment the leader among them spoke up in a voice that tried to sound menacing and threatening.
"We want that." He pointed up at the ship, only now noticing the actual level of technology and design it possessed. The group were almost in awe and what they had come across, since in their eyes this meant they were getting alot of money.

"Don't do anythin' stupid, probably best you just walk away, freak." A second man said, moving aside his cloth to reveal a pistol holstered at his waist. The whole group narrowed their eyes on the alien, five of them in total. All of them anticipated something was about to go down and couldn't help but feel this creature might have a track up it's sleeve.

That's why their hearts were beating faster than usual. They were scared.

Epoch could see the fear in the eyes of the gang members, but refused to underestimate them. They were armed, and he could guess that they answered to someone powerful in the criminal world. But the thing that scared him the most was that they were borderline threatening him to hand his technology to them- a group of
thugs that could cause a severe disaster with it. "I'd hand it over, but it's inoperable, so I doubt you'll find it's components useful to you," he said diplomatically. He was still avoiding a fight for now, but he kept himself in a cautious state. If they continued to be aggressive, he would need to be prepared.

Sapphire did not ove as she took mental note of the situation. So a pack of hyenas wand a lions meal, or in this case his ship. Funny thing was the man said the ship was broken. In truth a ships parts usuly had a higher demad and pay than the hole ship would on the market.

Sapphire simply watched as she reached into her belt and put her had on her stun gun. She was ready to start taking the men down and perhaps get the guys trust if they continued the will to fight. She was usually good at ship repair and if not she atleast had a fully operational ship. Bouth ment she could get pay and since she was a smuggler she could care less what they pay with as long as she gets paid.

Sapphire rilised how many ‘hyenas’ there were in this situation and moved her hand to one of her home made smoke grenades as she ajusted the cloth around her face. As soon as anyone started to atack she would throw it at the group and smoke would quickly fill the aria.

"Hey lads, this one's a right posh'en!" One of the thugs shouted to the others, making it clear that he was probably intoxicated on something foul. The others laughed along, drawing their pistols out of their holsters to prepare for what they thought would be an easy gun-down for a stupid alien. Instead there came a sudden smoke grenade as soon as they showed sign of aggression, blocking their view completely.

"Oi! How'd he do that? He didn't move!" Another thug managed to cough out, as they were all trying to clear their lungs and peer through the smoke. One of them fired randomly, but the bullets sprayed uselessly up in the air. Even by the time they started to move and try to wave the smoke away, they had no idea where the alien was in relation to them...

...or that there was a woman hiding in the woods.

Epoch saw the smoke grenade get thrown on the ground with both relief and smugness. "There's always a third party," He muttered as he opened a compartment containing an energy cannon. Mustering all the accuracy he could, he gunned down each gang member without even walking into the cloud of smoke. A blaster bolt struck him once or twice, but the damage was comparable to a scratch or rug-burn with the durability of a Crodvan. As he watched the third party deal with the rest of the grunts, he grabbed the group's leader, relieved him of his weapons, looked him in those smoke-filled eyes and said: "Maybe you should ask yourself 'what's the worst that can happen' next time you think about attacking a stranger from another world." He then lightly bumped his head, casually knocking him out. Epoch then did what seemed to be the "proper" way of burying corpses on this planet... looting them. He found a great amount of credits, and gave half of them to the strange girl that helped him. "You may have the rest if you smuggle me off this planet. I need transport back to planet Ratvar." he said. What seemed to be bad luck turned out to be beneficial. Parliament had been demanding an expansion for nearly a year, and now he had looted something precious off a street thug... a device with access to the Golden Syndicate's network. Though common on this planet, it would be a great invasion tool if his military could access its secrets. All he had to do was get back home.

Sapphire took out her stun gun and fired at the shadows of the men before talking out her contacted staff and made it full length. She ran into the smoke and tazed anyone that was not already down. The smoke did not take long after the fight to clear. Sapphire was quick to take any credets she found on the unconscious men before taking any amo they had and placed them in the pockets of her cargo pants.

Sapphire took what he gave her and placed them too in her pockets. She considered what he asked and calculated the profit margin in her had as she used her fingers to count. She looked at the ship and at the man. “The rest and you show me around your ship and I will take you there.” she said than dropped the fabric off of her mouth and reached out her hand ready to seal the deal.

Epoch pondered the humanoid's offer. Showing her his ship was a risk, but he calculated it was worth taking. Even though he could barely trust her, he wouldn't find another way to get off planet for a while, and the Fallon Circle gang was soon going to come looking for their thugs, so he had to leave now, and this bargain seemed his best bet. He took her hand, agreeing. He then went to his ship, and showed her it's technology. "So there you have it. My ship. Very curious craftsmanship, yes, straight from the planet Ratvar. You may be curious as to it's origins, and I can show you if you take me there." he said. Epoch guessed that this offer would be convincing. The ship's tech was intriguing; it looked like some combination between an ancient clockwork device and an ultra-modern starship. Whoever built the first of Crodvan technology must have been a certified genius, Epoch had always thought. The humanoid would at least consider it. He hoped...

Sapphire was glad to get to see the ship. It was not like any she had been in before and that was a very exciting concept. She was quick to realize she could not fix it if she was asked and was glad he wanted a simple ride. “I would love to see where such an amazing ship came from.” she said now satisfied with what she knew of the ship. “Ya may want to grab anything important and lock the ship up tight when we leave.” she said before leaving his ship.

She knew all to well what happened when you land on this planet and forget to lock up the ship. It took forever to clean up that mess and recover anything that was taken. Not to mention he already had a gang that wanted it. She awaited the man to come out ready to follow her.

She turned and flipped up her hood before leading him to her ship. As she stopped one would think the ship was gone because of its ability to hide. Sapphire would type a few things on her armband and the ship would appear and drop the ramp to the cargo bay.

“welcome aboard the Phoenix, She may be a good bit different from your stuff but she'll get ya were ya need to go.” she would say before walking up the ramp. Sapphire started to empty the amo into one of the creats before closeing it and strapping it to the floor. “there are rooms up stairs. You can choose any of the 3 unlocked ones you like.”

Epoch locked up the ship, as he was instructed. Now aboard the Phoenix, he prepared to leave this planet and return to his own. It was quite exciting that he finally had the opportunity to expand the Unity, he had been waiting to test his new military ever since he gained control of the Unity. "I'll be in here. Let me know if anything happens." He said as he went into a room. He sat down, took out the device he had found and downloaded its knowledge. Most of it had to do with the Golden Syndicate, and the Crodvan quickly learned something valuable about their enforcers... Security robots. Now it almost seemed too easy. All he needed was Parliament's approval, time to mobilize and his antenna to completely conquer Fallon. If there was any talent in Epoch's technical skill, it was recruiting foreign robots to his cause. Then again, he wouldn't be Emperor if he didn't have that...

Once her passenger left to his room, Sapphire hid her credets. “start engines” she would speak into her comunicater the ship would start on command. There would be a slight vibration at first but it would soon go away. She made her rounds as she awated the engines to be ready for the long flight.

Once she was satisfied that everything was strapped down well she went upstairs and placed her bag in the locker in her room. She than made her way to the pilots seat. “turn on communication with room 3.” she stated than awated the buzz. That would let her know she could talk to her passenger. “might want to hold on to something. I’m going to take off.” the call would than cut out as she started pressing buttons and flipping switches.

The ship would shoot forwords sending anything not strapped down or holding onto something backwards. Once in space the force would not be felt as she switched to auto pilot. “Its now safe to move about.” the intercom would say. Sapphire would unbuckle and get up before heading towards the back were there was a small kitchenette. She would press a few buttons on the coffee maker and dig in the cabinet for a cup and a tea bag. She would than take a spoon full of sugar from one of the tens that were on the counter and placed it in the cup along with some lemon juice from the fridge. After she had made pored in the hot water she sat down at the small table. Blussfully unaware of what her passenger was doing.

Epoch braced himself until the intercom said it was safe. While Sapphire enjoyed her coffee break, the Crodvan asked over the intercom, "You have any communication devices That can reach our destination? I'll admit my planet is suspicious of visitors, so It's probably best that I give them a head's up that you're transporting me." He was also planning to transmit his new-found knowledge to Prime Minister Knindcer, to let Parliament start preparations ahead of time. He was sure Knindcer would be both relieved and thrilled to see him safe and with plans of an expansion. It was about time, after all.

Sapphire listened to his request and thought for a second. She got up with her tea in hand and walked to back to the control room. “yea, i have a radio up here that should work. Ya just got to come up here to use it.” she would respond than waited for him to come up.

Once he was in the control toom she showed him the radio. “The ship is called the Phoenix and I am known as Sapphire. Incase they ask.” she said again taking a seat. She would sip her tea as she started to cheak distance, time and other important information. To make sure they were still on track.

Epoch knew that if he was going to transmit the plans, Sapphire would hear him doing so. He guessed she would be suspicious about the Crodvan expansion plans at best, and maybe even against it. Informing the Prime Minister would have to wait... unless he talked to Knindcer in Crodvanese. He turned on the communicator and told Sapphire, "Bear with me, Crodvan aren't usually multilingual like me." The communicator was then answered by a voice speaking a language that would sound nearly incomprehensible to Sapphire. Epoch spoke it back. What he said roughly translated into "This is Epoch. Will be back at Ratvar soon. Outsider involved in transportation. Look for a ship called the Phoenix. Let it land. Notify Prime Minister Knindcer I'm on my way. Tell him to prepare for an expansion." The communicator replied, "Yes, Emperor." in Crodvanese. The communication was terminated, and Epoch said to Sapphire, "That should allow you to land safely. I'll arrange that you get paid more when we arrive." He knew she deserved it. He would never have this golden opportunity for an expansion without her.

“No worries.” she said at his statement of his friends not knowing other languages. It was none of her business what he was talking about. Though thanks to a curse from her uncle she could easily understood the language just like all the rest, and now that she heard it she could also speak it. She truthfully did not care that he planed on making an expansion as it was not something she needed to worry about. The fact he was called employer was something she did not expect but she would say nothing of it as she kept to the task of keeping the ship on track.

“glad to hear I will have a safe landing.” she said willing to except the extra pay. She than grabbed her tea and stood up so she could see him as she talked. “Question. Do you have a name? Or are you from one of those plants that call there inhabitants by number?” she asked than sipped her tea.

Epoch responded to the inquiry carefully. "Epoch. That's my name. It isn't actually a Crodvan name..." he stopped himself there. He named himself this, due to him being the only individual minded Crodvan at the time. In fact, his name was Common for "a significant point in history" or something similar. He remained silent, in case Sapphire had another question. He wondered why she asked. If she were a smuggler, she probably had delivered fugitives to safety all the time. What was so curious about him? The technology, no doubt. He was naturally unaware of Sapphire's curse that allowed her to learn languages so quickly.

Epoch was a rather odd name. Sapphire was curious about what the name was if it was not Crodvan name but she did not ask. She could see the question in his facial expressions. “I just wanted to know what you like to be called. Where i’m from it's custom to shake hands and give a name, and I gave you mine.” she said, not sure he would believe it. She was not much into custom as she was a smuggler.

Truefully she wanted to know if he would use his title but he didn't. She also wanted it incase she got caught in the cross fire of his expansion. “well, im hear if ya got any questions. If you get hungry or thirsty theres a small kitchen in the back.” she stated than sat down. She sipped her tea as she watched the sky.

Several days went by after that, and oddly enough (at least to Sapphire) Epoch did not eat or drink anything, yet seemed fine. Occasionally he'd connect to a charger, as that was what the Crodvan truly fed off of... energy. He hoped Sapphire wouldn't mind if she discovered he was a machine, and not a man, which seemed likely to happen soon. Sooner or later Sapphire would probably catch him recharging, and she would find out the Crodvan were machines the moment they landed on Ratvar anyway. That day came quicker then expected. The Phoenix wasn't advanced compared to Crodvan tech, but it was certainly a fast ship that got him to where he needed. Epoch hailed the security tower in the Ratvar spaceport, and said in Crodvanese: "Epoch to control tower, the Phoenix must be allowed to land." The guard said back in the communications tower, "Alright, Emperor, you are to land on docking bay 29. Prime Minister Knindcer and the Parliament Council will be there to greet you." Epoch then translated this to Sapphire, still unaware that she understood it. The Ratvar spaceport was small for now, the only ships leaving were planetary patrols, and almost no ships ever came in other then those patrols returning. Ratvar was a giant clockwork city, full of the best tech in this area of the galaxy most likely. Yet until now, it was almost isolationist. No wonder Parliament wanted more territory. A technological powerhouse, with a large and well-equipped military, yet limited to a single world. But not for long. As the ship landed, Prime Minister Knindcer would walk toward the ship's exit, greeting Epoch and Sapphire. "Almost counted you missing, your majesty. I hear you finally have an imperial land grab in mind?" he said in Crodvanese. "Yes, but before we discuss that, I'd like this smuggler well rewarded. Credits, and even rare Crodvan equipment. That's the least I can offer." Epoch said in response. Knindcer hesitated, but then said, "I'll have it arranged, Emperor." Epoch then said to Sapphire, "Your reward will be here as soon as possible. You have no idea how grateful I am... you may discover that you contributed to a whole planet's well being. Even if it is just a planet of... machines." Maybe even Fallon's well being was secured in addition, he thought. It's no fun being conquered after a long war, but the Crodvan would surely treat it better then the Golden Syndicate, in his opinion. He guessed decent people on that planet suffered from the constant crime, and he would be freeing them from that at the very least.

Sapphire quickly realized that anything that had been used from the kitchen had been used only by her and started to worry her passenger may not eat her kind of food and may starve. Though once she figured out that he charged instead of ate she was quite relieved he would not go hungry. Her oppenon of him did not change once she learned he was as much tech as she was flash, because honestly he was not the strangest thing that had been on her ship.

Sapphire would only got to her room to sleep. What time she was not in the kitchen or flying the ship she was down stairs in the cargo bay. Since it was empty it gave her the opportunity to clean it up a little bit, though most of the time she was in the pilots seat.

As they approached ratvar, her armband told her that she was in a restricted air space. Though thanks to her passenger she was going to get the chance to land. She awaited the translation before she attempted to find bay 29 and land. Her ship did not take long to cut off. Though honestly she thought that the port would be larger for a planet that planed on expanding soon.

Upon exiting she would not talk more than she had to as they were greated. Last thing she wanted was to lose his trust by actually using her curse to speak with thim. Honestly it will be fun having some new teck if she chooses to except it. “no need to rush I do not need to be anywhere anytime soon, and this machine baced plant is really nice.”

Epoch spent the next few hours explaining what happened on Fallon to Parliament, and then telling them about the strategy to hack the Syndicate's security robots using the stolen device from the Fallon Circle gang member. Later, he gave Sapphire all the credits he could spare and several useful Crodvan gadgets. "You earned it all, Sapphire. You can use these gadgets for many things, such as bypassing locked doors, controlling enemy robots, hacking computers... its all here, with enough credits to set you up for a lifetime." He then gave a long and lengthy explanation on how to use the gadgets, as their complexity often makes the gadgets difficult to use at first. But he assured her that she would eventually get used to it, and said, "I guess that's all, but know that you are now welcome here on Ratvar whenever you feel like visiting." He then would listen to whatever she would say in response, and left the room without another word besides "Goodbye. I'm thankful... if you couldn't tell already." He had been excited to get right to conquering Fallon, but that goodbye was harder then he'd thought. All of this time, that smuggler could have done anything to double cross him. But she didn't. She was an honorable outlaw... something that gave him confidence for the upcoming battle. He wouldn't underestimate Fallon's criminals... but wouldn't underestimate the good that was hidden in that planet either. This smuggler confirmed his belief that there were good people on Fallon... on any syndicate planet... and thus added one more step to his plan: Upon arriving at Fallon, he would broadcast a message saying that if the good people on Fallon helped him in his fight... he would protect them from further criminals by placing planetary laws... the first civil laws that planet would have in years. Surely they would help him... just like Sapphire. Because of her, he had a nearly foolproof plan of conquering Fallon... yet liberating it at the same time.

Sapphire was well blessed with this run. She could not ask for better tech to fit her needs if she wanted to and now she has a place to come if she ever needs to disappear. Thanks to the credets she can now properly repair her ship and replace a few things. She also was shown how all the tech works and was thankful for it.

“You know how to connect me if you need anything.” she said she watched him get up and walk to the door. “good luck with the expansion. Also something to think about most cultures do not react well to change so trying to add a lot of new laws will likely cause problems and rebellions. If stuff must be changed try to redirect its old energy.”

Sapphire than stood up and put her new tech into her backpack before putting it on. She was well pleased with what he gave her and hoped him the best of luck. She made her way to her ship. She looked forward to her next visit here as this place was amazing. She started her ship and left as soon as giving the go ahaid to leave.
