Now that he had the brain capacity he could perform calculations and process data far faster than he could before, and that was why he was typing data in with both hands into two separate terminals in order to devise a method of cloning himself as many times as was physically possible. His goal would require a large amount of manpower and a similar amount of secrecy, no one else could ever know what it was that he was going to do, although if things went to plan it wouldn't matter how many people knew as they'd still be unable to affect things. Still, if he could help it he'd rather have the entire thing kept unknown by everyone else in the universe as that way if there was even some minuscule chance that they could come and corrupt his last bastion then it could be found, if they didn't know it existed then there was no way that they could go there.
In order to make his vault however he would need manpower, and that manpower he hoped to provide through clones of himself, that way he could be sure that no one other than himself would ever know of the project being undertaken nor it's purpose. Cloning is a delicate procedure however and his clones had to be perfect in order to properly assist in creating and then running his vault, it was just a simple matter that cloning was something he'd never attempted before, still there was a first time for everything and this was something that he did need for his plans to continue.

Now that he had the crystal fragment in hand and was rapidly building his hoard up from the measly little collection that it currently was, he'd had the time to come up with the full plan now and how to use the crystal in order to make himself a space to store all of his collection in that no one could ever penetrate. With his completed vault he would then have a central base for himself that would be only available to him, of course first he needed the manpower to build such an area and he was not going to be using anyone else for that task as they'd have to go there first and if someone else went there then the whole place could potentially be compromised and then there was no point making it from the beginning. The only person that could go there would have to be him, but he couldn't build such a large and complex place as he was going to need by himself, it would take many of his own life spans to do so and of course he'd be dead long before it was even a fraction of the way towards completion.
What he needed in essence was an army of people completely and infallibly loyal to him that would help him build and operate the vault that he was planning to make. It was a difficult thing to achieve, simple cloning wouldn't do it as that would allow all of them to still have free will and even the slightest blip in their free will could cause a tiny crack in the defenses of his vault that someone could then use to gain access to his hoards. That could not be allowed.

To those in the know, or rather those who were constantly searching and gathering new information on just about anything that they could possibly find, knowledge of the small moon Arflan deep in the uncharted sector was quite common knowledge. Moon was probably even a bit of an over exaggeration as realistically it couldn't be considered anything more than a particularly large asteroid. Approximately a mile in diameter it sailed through space seemingly in random directions, knowing of it wasn't the difficult part, finding it most definitely was. Finding out more about it than it's existence was also difficult, most people just passed it off as another of the millions of asteroids flying randomly through space, without knowing the truth of it.
In reality the asteroid housed a small colony , primitive though they were, the entire point of which was grounded in the usage of earth magic. Each of them were trained in the art and the colony boasted many masters of it's useage that kept their colony safe from outsiders with malicious intent as well as shaping the rock of the asteroid into the things that they needed, as such it was a place of many crafts and relics formed of earthen magic that never made it outside of the confines of this asteroid's atmosphere.
In true fashion there was a piece here that he'd heard about, one that would enable him to use his own inborn mana, of which he had quite a large amount, and replicate their abilities with earth magic should he be willing to put in the time and effort. Of course he was willing to do it, but first of all he needed to obtain this item that would allow him the chance to do so.

Use: Earth Magic
Provides the wearer with the ability to use earth magic
Effects only transmitted while held or worn
It's not really that stylish just Regulus thinks so? A whole colony was massacred to get it?
Forged on Arflan by the hands of master earth-smith Calar the quaker belt enhances the abilities of an earth mage, in those without the capability to use earth magic however it gives them the ability to do so. It does not impart the knowledge nor power but simply the ability, and as such was seen as a useless and worthless thing by most of the colony. To most it was worthless, to Regulus it was priceless and so with a fleet of mercenaries and pirates he blackmailed mercilessly they massacred the colony and stole it.

Regulus' ship would exit FTL in a flash of light making tons of noise, anyone with ears would be able to hear the amount of ruckus that had been created by his ship's arrival in this system and anything with sensors would be able to pick it up even easier. In short, it wasn't exactly the most stealthy entrance that could have been done to get him into the system, but he was here and he counted himself lucky for that.
What he didn't count himself lucky for however were the streams of dark energy that came flying at him from out of the large station ahead, the only thing of any size that could be seen around, and the fact that it looked currently like they'd hit him. Regulus jerked the controls and button mashed like his life depended on it, because it did, twisting, rolling and moving the ship in any way that he could conceive of in order to avoid the energy streams flying at him from the station. His own weapons were near enough nonexistent, he had a small weapon mounted to the front that would attempt to return fire, aiming at one of the various sources of the projectiles firing at him in hopes of disabling whatever was creating them. It wasn't a very good gun for a ship but it was what he had, his ship wasn't exactly the best but it had served him well as long as he'd had it and it'd continue to do so now.
